More than Just Kilowatt Hours
More than mere kWh: Toronto artist, Sarah Hall, has created a stunning and inspiring installation, "Lux Nova", for the University of British Columbia's Regent College. The feature challenges viewers to explore the connection between the beauty of art and the preservation of our planet and its resources. The stained-glass tower incorporates an array of solar cells, collecting energy during the day to illuminate the park at night. The luminous column flows like a waterfall in silvery blues, violet and white, acting as a warm, glowing beacon for the community. Click here to download the PDF.

"The Science of Light"
The best lessons are those that prepare them for the world they will grow up in and for the decisions they will make. This simple but powerful idea inspires "The Science of Light," a new solar art glass installation at Grass Valley Elementary School in Camas near Portland, Oregon. Click here to download the PDF.

Art Meets Solar
It seems obvious, pairing stained glass with solar cells. It's a wonder it hasn't been done more. A 40ft. tall tower on the campus of Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia, stands as testament to the intriguing marriage or art, religion and alternative energy. "The Religious Imagination" by J.S. Porter
If you withdraw the sky from human consciousness, the earth withers. If you remove the possibility of the transcendent in human affairs, the arts - the means by which we express what it is to be human in a particular time and place - wobble and topple. Earth needs heaven for its vision, and heaven needs earth for its articulation. Click here to download the PDF.
